Farrow Feeder
John Harvey Farrow Feeders allow for precise feeding (up to 15Kg of food) for Gilts and Sows in Farrowing paddocks. Maintaining all the benefits of our Long Troughs by providing longer term feed protection which allows the animal to return to the feeder many times without food being lost to birds.
As standard the Single Farrow Feeder body is galvanised and mounted on a painted 0.9m x 0.9m chequer plate base to aid stability for both the feeder and the Sow. They come complete with an integrated lifting frame for ease of movement and a feed indicator so stockmen know how much feed to give specific animals.
They are also able (with the aid of the rear chute) to be used successfully with our Auger Field Dispensers. As a percentage of feed saved the Farrow Feeders have proved extremely successful.
Our Farrow Feeders can be free standing or attached to a water tank using a simple frame.

Additional Options
Plastic Chute
We offer plastic chutes to help reduce the chance of spillage when filling the feeders, by big bucket or when using a field dispenser.
Rainguard Steelwork
In areas where rainfall can be high we recommend fitting a rain guard to the Farrow Feeder body. This helps to protect feed.
Rain Guard Plastic Chute
The Farrow Feeder plastic chute has a flap fitted so when in the up position water is directed over the back of the input area. This is recommended for areas with a large amount of rainfall.
